People always feel comfortable in the familiar environment, vice versa, they can also feel scared in a totally new places. When you move to a new place, you don’t know anyone’s name in class; you don’t know the route from the house to school; you even don’t know where to eat when you are extremely hungry. The inconvenience and unfamiliarity are why we stress, because you can do pretty limited things when so many things unknown.
