Let me just say that my first date did not turn out to reach my expectations. Being asked out to my first date, was not the way I expected. My mother partnered up with a man from which he had a nephew. Overall, being annoyed for about a week and a half is not good. After talking for about fifteen minutes a day to the most irritating guy ever, he just talked about his ex-girlfriend all the time making me think he was not over her, I blocked this guy from my phone but the calls kept coming in, not from my phone, but my mother’s cell phone. I finally agreed on a date just to see if this guy would just quit. But that was not enough. …show more content…

If all went well, there will be many more time to come. Being late to the first date, for me, was maddening. I was not in the mood to go out. I believed I was being stood up. Who comes back home on a first date at 12:00 p.m.? To start off, you do not have commitment in my book, and when you talked to my parents a day before, agreeing to go out at 8:30-10:00 p.m., does not look too

Digging Deeper into the Hyundai Genesis “First Date” Advertising has majorly advanced through time. In the past, advertising was not as significant as it is today because they did not have the tools, ability, or the knowledge to expand advertisements. Past advertising did not include a story as it does today; they simply showed the product and told the viewers to buy it by using simple words and phrases, unlike today’s advertisements that use narrative techniques. The goal of advertising is to grab the viewer’s attention by emotion, logics, and ethics.…

When doing this activity I asked my older friend how she would describe a typical date. She told me that in this generation it's now common for girls to ask a guy out on a date, but still expected of the guy to make the first move and ask a girl out. My friend described her typical date as having the guy pick her up from her house and go on a picnic in the park and swing by the grocery store before finding the perfect spot to get to know each other. I asked my one guy friend to go on a picnic up in the canyon with me and he said yes. He picked me up from my house and we went to Smiths and picked up a few groceries before going up the canyon.…

Short shorts. Short shorts as far as the eye can see. This is what I saw all over ETSU’s beautiful campus as I went one day without my cell phone. Initially, I thought nothing much would come out of the seemingly uninteresting assignment, but I was mistaken. It proved to be an eye-opening day, mostly because I saw how much students were on their phones, I learned that I am terrible at telling time, and I can now cope with my social anxiety instead of jumping to my phone.…

Through my experience, my freshman and sophomore years as a musician were terrifying. On top of the shock of the new atmosphere at school, I had to play my instrument with and in front of others, which was quite a stretch for me at the time. I would always beat myself up about minute mistakes I had glorified during rehearsals, playing tests, and especially auditions. However, after I did not make an Illinois Allstate ensemble my junior year, my approach to these nerve-wracking situations completely changed. Instead of thinking failing negatively, those uncomfortable experiences actually made me improve as I had taken more auditions.…
