College Admissions Essay: In Jesus Is The Son Of God

Decent Essays
“In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” This is what I say after every prayer. I am Catholic and for me, Jesus is the son of God. “You are the Son of God.” (Mark 3:11). I am forever grateful. All I can do is to give thanks and praise. He came to heal the sinners, those who needed him. He came to us in the form of a human being. According to some religions, he is a prophet. The world was created in preparation for his coming. While growing up, I was always told that Jesus was born to save us from our sins so I ended up believing that. Jesus matters to me as I read about all that he has done. I believe that he is the son of the Most High. He is our Savior. I am on Church Sundays to glorify him.
I grew up in a extremely religious home. We are the family that goes to Church on Sundays and prays all the time. We also do our best to follow the 10 Commandments. Every member of my family has been baptized and had their First Communion. My sister is working toward receiving her Confirmation, following the rest of the family’s footsteps. I am the kind of person always referring to God. People would describe me as being veritably optimistic. I always view aspects of life in a different angle. “You can get through this. God knows what he is doing. Do not give up.” Jesus is the center of my life.

He sets the perfect example for us, and His teachings are the foundation for happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.” (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3). All I can do is to give thanks and praise. Whenever I go through an obstacle in my life, I just pray. Prayer is the medicine to all the pain and sorrow one can endure in my

Christ figures are displayed throughout literary works all the time and they help create a deeper and symbolic meaning to the story. An example of a Christ figure is in the movie Seven Pounds, where the character Ben Thomas devotes his life to helping others with illnesses. Some similarities that I found Ben shared with Christ include: 1)Ben Thomas is in agony because he regrets causing the accident that killed innocent people. 2)Ben is self-sacrificing because he helps the terminally ill and other people who actually deserve help. He donates bone marrow to a small boy and donates one of his kidneys to and older woman.…

My role in this is to simply answer the calling of Jesus, for it is apparent He wants to be a part of my…
