College Admissions Essay: If I Want To Go To College

Many people in this room may not know me some may have seen me but don’t know much about me. My junior year I lost my best friend my grandma. I cried for months randomly throughout the day. A few weeks after my grandma dying I remember talking to my mom and saying “ Think big, dream, and believe in yourself and watch your dreams come true” and from that day on I promised myself to achieve my goals, and that if I got into Augsburg college I would get it tattooed on my arm to because it was my motivation.. Everybody in high school over the last four years has most likely went a tough time. That being said everybody had some kind of motivation mines was this quote. As we gather here today we all have came a long way, the person we are sitting next to may have been the same person you have known since kindergarten, maybe somebody you used to be friends with or even just your best friend(s). We are all here for a reason rather it is to make our family proud, make ourselves proud, or to prove to a lot of people we will NEVER back down. We went from playing tag with our friends, only being able to go to the end of the block, to having a part time job getting ready to move out the house into our dorm rooms for college./ Now we can go passed the end of the block. High school sometimes can be easy and some time it can make you be ready to pack a bag and move to a different state, but the big part is we all made it to this point.Through all the early days, long nights we ain’t give up and we put up a fight. Now we sitting here ending 2017 with some but most of the last 90’s babies, we have all made it which I’m sure a big percent of us have heard we was not going to make it. Congratulations class of 2017 WE DID
