I now do not have a problem speaking in front of people or leading a team to achieve a goal. It allowed me to be bold in myself and know that anything is possible if I set my mind to it. Along with that, it gave me self-appreciation; I am proud of my accomplishment, but I am also proud that my hard work paid off with a state championship. Sports allow you to be able to look back to the past and see that your hard work did not go to waste. Children need that more than ever because growing up with the technology we have now, many of them sit at home all day on their mobile or tablet device instead of getting out and working hard.
From football to golf, every sport is important and every child needs to get involved in some way. In the end, they will be proud that they accomplished many goals, and they are a better person because of their past. The effect of sports on children’s lives are leadership skills, communication, and confidence, which is a key to success. Let your child excels in their sport; it will make a true impact in his or her life and down the road, they will thank you for all the encouragement and time you spent cheering them on. Along with sports, you play a vital role in their
