I set that thought aside and decided to focus on the present that could affect my future. During the first two years I spent my time focusing on my schoolwork and overall trying to find a passion. My mother always told me once I entered University I should study something I love and not focus on the money aspect, because she would rather see me enjoying my time following my passion than wasting my time studying something I do not love. I struggled to find that passion mainly because everything to me was so unique and interesting I wanted a taste of everything. Each year I would fall in love with something and right away I would ponder upon the idea if this new love of mine would become my future. I officially joined Key Club my junior year and was expose to things I was not used to. Speaking in front of crowds, receiving awards, running for two different positions, participating at various events, and becoming a leader was a lot to sink in the first few months—it was almost like a dream. To me, lending a helping hand to one in need was a way to stay in touch with the world and from this moment on I realized what I wanted my future to result

This year we have been asked to do more community service opportunities around town that we haven't gotten in past years. We have helped a non-profit organization, called Simple Gesture, where we packed and sorted 8,000 lbs of canned food for families in need around our community.
