My goal was to acquaint myself to as many pilots as possible. I would ask the pilots and many successful businessmen that came through what I need to do now and what I need to prepare myself in the future. Many gave me golden tips on ways to acquire a position in the field but also minimizing all the expenses needed to get to that point as it is very costly to become a pilot. I also learned parts of a plane that I never knew, how they worked and how they helped pilots through various challenges. During the internship i became acquainted to a pilot named joe. A commercial Airline pilot and part time corporate pilot. Upon talking to him he offered me a opportunity to fly with him on a couple of flights where he was taking the plane to be fixed. I flew with him 2 times to the plane's manufacturer. During the flight and the time I was at the Manufacturer I grew my connections and knowledge. Many engineers, from various fields in engineering, at the facility gave me their experience on aviation, what they are looking for in the next generation of engineers, and what issues need to be worked

My junior year in high school, I became a student mentor in our campus’s peer counseling program. This was an incredibly rewarding experience as I had the opportunity to help freshman students assimilate into our high school dynamic. As a peer mentor, I assisted students with personal problems and mediated issues with teachers in order to maximize their learning experience. I also acted as a role model for my mentees by talking frequently about AP and Honors courses and how to be successful in such programs. I put effort into learning about each individual's interests and goals so that I could expose them to clubs and academic courses that they may appreciate such as the Biomedical Academy or our school’s robotics team.…

Over the past four years, I have been going to a STEM+M school, whose goals are to make the world rethink education and diversify learning. Instead of focusing on books, memorization, and testing, the school focused on preparing kids for college, real-world application, and cultural education. I think this gave me a unique way of looking at things, especially with all of the different styles of learning I took part in. This type of educational and intellectual diversity allows me to offer a different perspective to groups and problems that others do not have.…
