I am advocate for the environment, and I believe that in order to sustain the immense population, the world must turn to alternative energy sources. I have always been interested in science and engineering, because they are the foundation to societal advancement. It is the future generation's responsibility to make a change and more towards a sustainable future, and I want to be a part of that change. I want to use my knowledge of physics and engineering to create something that pushes the limits of what is possible. Science is the ability to predict the future, but engineering is the ability to control the future, and I believe that the combination of the two fields is important in my life as well as the lives of others. My interests are reflected in my senior project on the use of wind turbines as an alternate energy source, and I hope that it would influence others to use their skills to make a difference. …show more content…
I want to learn as much as I can, and use my knowledge to enact a change. Using my degree, I plan to seek a career in a governmental agency for environmental engineering, and work on data collection and solution enactment to improve the health of society as well as protect ecosystems in the expansion of anthropological structures. My senior project is the beginning for my long educational career, and it encompasses the many components that connect science with engineering. I believe that my project is the best opportunity for me to learn and figure out my interests and how it will relate to the rest of my life. It is important to me to learn as much as I can, and to share the knowledge I gain.
