It would only help me become a more successful person if I were to increase my support group. An organization like the NSCS can assist me in making important associations with other high achieving students or mentors. It's critical to find the opportunity to converse with somebody who has effectively experienced what you have; especially in college where everything is different from high school.

One of my strengths is that I can think futuristically. In almost everything I do, I must think about how it will affect me in the future. From a young age, I remember telling my mom, “Mommy, I want to help people in the hospital when I grow up.” I have wanted to obtain a career in the medical field ever since I learned how to speak. Helping individuals was continually something that I appreciated doing, and I adored the hands-on assignments that accompany being a nurse practitioner. My family and I experienced many obstacles, but my parents taught me to get up from my falls and continue the journey to success. I am a solid devotee that the more I get an introduction to extraordinary deeds, the more I give it out to other individuals. While members from the NSCS chapter at my college will be there to help me, I will likewise be sharing what I have picked up from them with other individuals.
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars will incorporate me to become the more noteworthy individual of tomorrow. I plan to make awesome associations, get a support group, and partake in several activities. This will help me get included with the community and make dependable connections. I am thoroughly anticipating what the NSCS has to

It allows them to branch out, but it also gives them confidence that they can achieve what they want, or not, there are always resources available. Overall, you get out of it what you put in. Being a first generation college student and being honored with affiliating myself with The National Society of Collegiate Scholars gives them a sense of happiness that is not tangible. That happiness that I bring them can’t be taken away from them and it is because of the NSCS that it is possible. Since I was in 6th grade of middle school, I have aspired to pursue a career in medicine. It wasn’t until after losing a best friend to cancer and witnessing my 9-year-old cousin battle multiple rounds of cancer, that I became avidly interested in the pediatric population. I have continuously told myself growing up that I will one day take care of the hurting children and the families that feel lost in a time of grief. Since joining nursing school, I have kept my heart open to other areas that I could potentially practice but I always find myself drifting back towards pediatrics.…

For as long as I could remember, I’ve wanted to be in the medical field. As an aspiring oral surgeon, an avid lover of serving the community, and a fun loving girl always searching for the next adventure, I am extremely grateful for the academic, extracurricular, and community programs I have been involved in throughout my lifetime. When we moved to Texas, one of the first things they told us about was the Northwest Independent School District pre-professional academies. My heart skipped a beat when I learned of the existence of the Academy of Biomedical Sciences and another when I got my acceptance letter in the eighth grade. Two years later, as a second year member of the program, I have been given the opportunity to run centrifuges, undergo extensive micropipette training, and dissect a number of organs including the brain and heart, amongst many other hands-on activities.…
