One of the earliest memory I have as a child was seeing Beauty and the Beast for the first time. That, for whatever reason, enchanted me. It was then I decided that I wanted to be an artist in some way, shape or form. I originally wanted to be a Disney animator because my affinity for drawing. I remember that I would recreate Glen Keane's animation in "The Little Mermaid" and I would, as hard as possible, to imitate his and many of the Disney artists' drawing styles.…

After getting my university degree three years ago, an oil company hired me within a few months. Although art was my passion since I was about four years old, I decided to follow my parents’ path and spend the rest of my life in the oil and gas field. I love painting; I love creating, but I was never gifted with the…
Arriving back home after a few months in various countries, I thought that I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Art, I was going to become an art teacher and I enrolled at CU Boulder, ready to take the world. Then it hit me, a month before I was due to start classes I realized, artists…
Every summer I try to go to an art camp with my friends, so even outside of school I am still drawing. Art has always been something I have found fun, from coloring, painting, drawing, and even playing with clay. I am applying for Art 1 to continue and grow my love for art. I love to be involved in art in anyway that I can. My favorite activities would include drawing and painting.…

College is a life changing investment that prepares for life and career. The vast spectrum of knowledge, skills obtained, and experiences from a college degree more than compensates for the monetary cost of tuition. Creating art is my passion; I have always wanted to become a great artist ever since I was a child drawing on my walls and copying pictures from books. I have devoted my life to improving my talents by illustrating my own stories, practicing drawing daily, and challenging myself to earning my own money doing what I love by drawing commissions. Learning how to communicate through illustration is a valuable skill that will live with me for the rest of my life and progressing my artist career.…
If I am proficient or higher, I will already have skills to make it in my career. But, art is just one of my interests that I have for the future. In the next 5-8 years, I see myself hopefully going Ronald Reagan High School because they have rigorous arts and academic programs. In high school, I will study all kinds of arts, like visual arts and performing arts. Once I graduate from high school,…
I have been exposed to art my whole life ever since I was a little boy , Mostly when I was young and my sister first acquainted me to it through her drawings. I use drawings as a meaning of showing a part of me that cannot be seen within others eyes . It helps me express myself to others around me more than I usually would in many terms . My current educational goals are to graduate with honors . I'm positive that my time will be applied wisely through my…
Since I can remember, I’ve always been a considerable video game fan, and I wanted to translate that into a career that would allow me to do what I love and be creative in the process. After a while I came to terms that it was relatively unlikely that I would be a successful and well known game designer so I dropped that dream. The next job to catch my eye was working as a graphic designer which occurred during an artistic phase of my life where I would draw ritually. To no surprise, my imagination snagged the better of me as I speculated that it would be intriguing to do it for a profession. That too was short lived.…
I have dabbled with art ever since I was a toddler. I would draw anywhere I went: school, home, and even at church. It started out as a hobby, but soon, I immersed myself into the world of art by integrating art with medicine. I have always found medical dramas to be particularly intriguing. Developing into this interest, I started writing my own medical journal, where I took notes from a book called Gray’s Anatomy and from the medical dramas I watched.…
Throughout my high school career, and previous to high school, I have taken various science and art classes. These are subjects that have always caught my attention and I plan to continue attending classes that fall under these categories, during my senior year and throughout college. Science has been a subject that I have always had an interest in and have thoroughly enjoyed. During high school, my focuses have primarily been in health science classes that will help me excel in a medical career, although I have taken science classes outside of this area. The classes I have taken so far are Honors Biology, Medical Science I, Animal Science, Honors Chemistry…
Honestly, I never thought I would ever be interested in being a teacher. All throughout my early childhood, I always wanted to be a doctor; I loved the idea of assisting others in their time of need and even saving their lives from time to time. Unfortunately, I realized as I got older that I really was not interested in (or good at) math or science; therefore, that dream died quite quickly. Having been fortunate enough to having supportive parents, I have always felt that I was able to experiment and pursue the subjects that interested me the most; however, I had no idea that my interests would revolve around the world of music. My passion for music and the education that I was lucky enough to have received have both made me strive to discover…
Although becoming an artist is not my first career choice, it is on my list. I love watching small animators on YouTube who are trying to make their own way through art school and I always wonderful if I could make something as good as theirs one day. The ASA Art Show was this past Monday and as I stared at all of these amazing pieces of work that probably took a long time to finish, I again wondered if I could one day be that great. Art is something that everyone is good at, but in order to get better and become one of the greats they need to practice and not be afraid to bring out their skills or creativity. Art is teamwork and a talent that needs to be…
It wasn’t until my sophomore year in high school, on a day that I looked back at the drawings from middle school, that I realized that my drawing skills have drastically improved, and that drawing is not just an interest or talent to me, it is an accomplishment. Drawing is my talent and my drawing skills are an accomplishment because I was not blessed with my skills, I made them through my hard work, years of practice, and determination to improve. When I take interest in something, I am determined to exceed at…
