I wasn’t really a drawer at first; I didn’t really enjoy drawing but, I did like watching people draw. One day I remember watching one of my friends draw one of my favorite characters from a show known as Naruto; when I saw that drawing, i started getting interested in trying to draw my own things, so I started practicing. Once i started to understand the basics of drawing, I attempted to do an actual drawing. Back then I thought art was very hard to do; art is hard but, if you put your mind to it, it’s really just all about creativity, patience, and time, however, I wish I knew that when I first started drawing. After I finished the drawing I started feeling less confident about drawing; the drawing didn’t look the way i imagined it at all. Afterwards i decided to just stop drawing but, i wasn’t really sure if i wanted to quit drawing; I didn’t know if i was just too impatient and didn’t use my time right, or i just didn’t have the confidence, regardless, i decided to just take a long break from …show more content…

I also began to get more in involved in after school clubs such as the National Art Honor Society and the SmART Club where we did several art projects every week. On my last year of high school I decided to challenge myself and I took AP Studio Art: Drawing Portfolio.…

okay that is not 100% the truth, I am embarassed by some of the drawings that I drew and gave to my friends back in high school (here's hoping that they threw them away ha!) but luckily I've improved, hopefully. I'm also mostly self taught, I did have a 1 semester stint at my local college's beginning Art class where I learned quite a lot and tried to honed my skills from then on but to no avail unfortunately. Not so much that I started to forget what I've learned rather I didn't have enough clear vision of what I want my art…

The heat from the stage lights, the watchful gazes of the audience, and the sweat dripping off of our faces as we struggle to remember our lines, these sensations of being on stage are what caused the performing arts to become not only an activity, but also a passion and an unexpected source of personal growth. Through my experiences in drama and music I have been able to discover my own meaning of fulfillment and define who the person behind my appearance truly is. My passion in the performing arts started when I was a young child first learning to play the violin. Picking up the violin at the age of 6, I became stuck on one of the most basic songs for almost a whole year. At that time no one believed that I could play the violin, my teacher thought that I was too hyperactive and even my mom attempted to convince me to quit.…

and I end up beating myself more as I started to criticize myself and hating my art. My parents didn’t know much about this since they sort of didn’t like how I was drawing constantly in the first place and they told me repeatedly to study and work, it did distract me a little from drawing but I felt even more empty with no purpose what so ever and I needed something to fill it in.
