When I was a young girl, pencils and paintbrushes were practically extensions of my fingers. I may not have been able to recite the alphabet or count to 26, but with a box of magic markers, I had 1,000 words at my fingertips. My first few years of school consisted of many parent-teacher meetings that revolved around the fact that it seemed impossible to keep me from scribbling sloppy stars and smiley faces on every assignment. That is until one day, I finally found a subject that I was truly interested in, and could also benefit from my hobbies and talents: science. I came to love science because it is fascinating, constantly changing, and most aspects of the subject allowed me to expand my mind further than my imagination.…

When I was in elementary school, my teachers would ask us what we wanted to be when we grew up. The usual answer was a doctor, lawyer, police or firefighter. When I spoke up and said what I wanted my future profession to be was a flight attendant. Their reaction was always the same. They would look at me and ask me where I got that from.…

I decided to take an acting class because acting has always been apart of my life. Since I was a kid my dad had my siblings and I in front of the camera, making dorky little skits and creative movies throughout the summer just to find someway for us all to bond, and it didn't stop when we grew up either. As I got older I started taking interest in directing the films just as much as I took interest in acting in them and because of this we would spend weeks upon weeks coming up with different ideas and clever ways to make movies and plays that would grab someone's attention. We didn’t care if they didn’t make sense or how goofy we were, we just wanted to have fun. Unfortunately though, life…

Seeing Seattle was truly spectacular, the sky-high glass-covered buildings created shadows that covered the sunny streets. Seattle was completely opposite to what I was completely used too in Bulgaria. Growing up in a poorly developed country such as Bulgaria, that has been ruined by the economy has made me appreciate the smallest things that my parents have done for me. I was just an eight-year-old boy who lived on the top floor of a rusty sixty-year-old building, that day by day I thought it would collapse any moment from the strong gusts of wind that occurred during storms. Being eight years old I did not realize how much my parents struggled to be capable of supporting me and supplying the things I wanted.…

I have thought and talked about my dream job in great detail many times before. My dream job is intricate, and way too complicated to ever become a reality but a girl can dream. It has many parts to it and would take an estimated 70 years to get all necessary degrees and experience to be able to achieve but it would be so worth it. The first part of it is I would be a climber-photographer for National Geographic and get paid to travel, climb mountains, and take pictures. Then, in the next stage of my life, I would become a neurologist (which, in reality, is probably never going to happen seeing as I can barely spell it).…
