Life revolves around the interactions between human beings. It is all about the relationships that we make with one another and how we push through the downfalls to achieve our full potential as one. We as people embrace the fact that although a perfect and equal society is in the best interest of most, unfortunately there are always going to be the narrow-minded, arrogant beings who destroy and completely shatter this image and dream. This is a very tricky, yet an affective idea. The only flaw with this idea is that if you are not an active involved person who enjoys paying attention to things that enhance you more as a student and citizen in the world, then you will not be able absorb the many collective memories that are being passed down from others. Although there are some memories that you obtain without even having the realization that you have them. Collective memory serves as an effective tool when trying to understand what has happened in the past, in order to restrict it from happening in the future. When dealing with the past, we often tend to overlook the bad as a reaction to ignoring the pain in order to keep our so called happy thoughts intact. This method is more dangerous than people know it to be. Understanding the fact that most of the time ignoring the truth behind historical events is done unintentionally, it still does not justify it. Remembering the worst thoughts and emotions during a time in the past, is what makes us such strong and smart individuals. We take our imagined pain and use it defend ourselves from having to experience the real and actual pain and brutality that is faced by others. The world has to know that without the mistakes that we make throughout history, we will never understand how wrong something can be. The flaws of others bring out the good in the people who care and attempt to make an effort in creating an equal world for
