The nanny indicated when she started working for the family, Marcus was three years old. She stated that the father worked during the day. She reported that the mother did not work and was a stay home mom. The nanny indicated that she had the responsibility for caring for the child Monday through Friday. While the parents cared for the child on the weekends.

Matic reported an incident in September of 2013, they had moved to an apartment on 72nd street. She indicated that the mother was in her bedroom and the Marcus was in bed. The nanny sated that the father came home intoxicated and began to scream. Ms. Matic stated that she was on the telephone with a friend (who could hear the screaming through the phone) Ms. Matich stated that her friend contacted the police. She stated that she saw the mother on the floor and the father was holding her down. The nanny stated that she went to her room with the child, to protect the child, she indicated that he came in the room and appeared to be calmer. The nanny told him “I saw you punch Ms. Solomatina” he acknowledged hitting her. The nanny stated that Ms. Solomatina left the home and the nanny and child stayed with the father.
She reported that she did not witness any other episodes of violence. However, she stated that the father did speak negatively about the mother stating that she was “a bad mother”, he called her “a drunk”.
Ms. Matic indicated that there was something going on in court and the mother asked her to collect some of her belongings from the home as she was living in a different apartment. Ms. Matic reported that Mr. Mikelic saw in the camera that she took some of the mother’s belongings and he asked her to give it back and she did not. She reported that he fired her in August of 2013, in front of the child.
