Rena collapsed to the ground, resulting in a loud thud. She had recently been training her mental strength to zero in on her magical abilities. It took lots of training and resulted in mental an physical exhaustion.

While Rena worked on improving her powers, Commander Erwin had been supervising and barking out orders to the Survey Corps for their upcoming expedition to retake Wall Maria. Now that the Female Titan was gone, they believed they had a better chance of taking the Wall from the Titans and slaughtering them all. Hopefully, they wouldn't run into any more Female Titans or Titan Shifter if there were any more still out there. More uncertainties and possibilities existed than certainties and facts.

Tomorrow they'd be off, and they would get Rena to protect Eren as they made their way to basement that held all the answers to Titans. Everyone else was unsure on how to feel about it, Rena knew that. Their last expedition had gone so horrible wrong, over half of their soldiers died and lots of supplied had been lost. Even know that they had Rena, they still felt hopeless to the Titans.

Rena felt the same way about everything, to herself and the soldiers, she was a lost cause. To the Monarchs and leaders of humanity, she was the last hope humans had. This expedition was to determine hat role she played for humanity.

The test that she faced placed huge responsibilities on her, she believed Erwin was foolish for allowing her to join the Survey Corps and rely on her for everything without even knowing what she was capable of doing! She herself was doubting her own abilities, so how did the King and Erwin both feel so confident? Maybe it was because she hadn't voiced her concerns to them, that must be why. But even if she wanted to, it was already too late, a plan was set in motion.
