Michael White in certain instances seem to be quite directive in the leading questions that they ask and appear to contribute more than
50% to the re-authoring of clients lives and their scripts about how to manage problems. This discrepancy between the avowed collaborative non-directive therapeutic positioning of the therapists on the one hand and the skillful leading approach to therapeutic questioning on the other deserves some clarification.
