As part of the collaboration, data measures were taken for 25 women and 10 support people (35 touches) and finding revealed many positive program outcomes. Overall, 41% of program participants felt better prepared for all pregnancy stages after attending the series. On average, 7.25% of participants reported a reduction in birth-related fears and anxieties, and 21.16% reported increased confidence in coping with their birthing experience. Both statistics were attributed to coping strategies, body awareness techniques and relaxation methods taught in class.
