My Access #2 There could be a lot of meanings to the quote by Colin Wilson. There could be different experiences, and also some different views on what the quote is trying to tell us. Many people might not understand the quote because they don’t know what it’s like to actually come back from failure because they had everything given to them. What I get from the quote by Colin Wilson is that average humans are used to being in some bad situations because they don’t want to try their hardest. I agree with this quote by Colin Wilson with three reasons. First reason is that if you are just an average athlete there is a reason that you are an average athlete because you don’t want to work as hard as the athletes standing out. Most of the athletes in any sport are pretty much able to be in the top of their athletes the only reason there are different groups like Varsity and JV is because the JV isn’t giving it their all. If you are one of those students that just give up or drop out that means that you belong to average. High School is probably the easiest thing you will ever do, but it is also the most important thing you will ever do. It all depends on if you wanted to do a job you really love for the rest of your life with a good pay and you actually doing what you said you were going to be when you were little. I think that teachers always told us that because they wanted us to go out and accomplish our dreams and the way you do that is by doing good in school and giving it everything you got. You might not have straight A’s, but you will go a lot further then someone who just quite in the middle of their high school career and just wanted to go party and be bored and home so they didn’t have to listen to anyone and also they didn’t want to be told what to
