(A response to the conformist quote but Colin Wilson)

Just because someone tells you to do something doesn't mean that you'll drop everything and do the thing they say. Now I'm not saying that you should not always listen to people about these things, but every now and again you could choose to not. I'll be the one to admit that I've had those days where you sit back and begin to wonder, what am I doing with my life? Is this what I really want? Did they really mean the things they said to me? Do I even belong here? I began to lay in bed at night and ask myself every night, if I was actually worth something. If I meant something to someone. No one was showing me the things that I really wanted and needed to hear. I love you. I mean my parents said it, but as soon as I left the house everything changed. I felt as if I have no one. I was alone, and didn't know where to turn. As I sat, without guidance, I thought "why am I here?" The next I found a quote that made things begin to turn better. If everyone person goes against society, they are conforming to individuality by being self-reliant. One person originally comes up with an out of box idea then there are people take the idea and transform it in their own way. Everyone did have to take the initial step all the same, then they branched out into being their own individual. If everyone stays the same and does not think in a transcendental way, then they are completely conforming. Being an individual is to be self-reliant a way to express thoughts and actions of any one person.…

From my understanding a conformist is someone that is more than likely to convert or follow someone else within a certain thought process or decision someone is making. I believe it to be self evident that in today’s society men are not conformist, but rather individually independent. I have been attending school for nearly twelve years and one thing that I have been constantly taught was the ways of being independent and standing out as an individual that differs from others. Many would say the idea is all about being your own person. Some say, “be a…

Conformity vs Individuality:Who Cares Conformity means compliance with standards, rules, or laws; on the contrary, nonconformity means failure or refusal to conform to a prevailing rule or practice. But should we as humans put each other in a box? why must we be defined as a conformist or nonconformist? My own claim states people who claim to be non conformist are trying to stand out to get attention and people who are conformist are trying to fit in to get attention and my opinion is everyone should simply be themselves. Yes, we might get praised for being a slave to the new trends and we might get all the attention that we seek, but at the end of the day this is also what creates people who have no substance, no personal opinion on a topic because they have been busy following others that they lost who they were and now finding themselves will be very difficult when they could have simply been themselves the whole time.…
