Billy shows hard work and success on page 85-96. When Billy’s dogs chase a coon into a tree and he doesn't know how to get it down. He tries cutting the tree down but after the second day his hands are torn and his energy is drained. He figures out a plan to keep the coon in the tree but the next day his joints are tight and he is sore. His hands were torn to splinters and he wanted to quit. He told his dogs and they were upset they didn't want him to quit. So he dug down deep inside and finally the tree was cut and he got the coon. So with his hard work gave him the reward of a beautiful
