Racial division exists from a big amount of years ago, being part of American History. A sociologist would exanimate the remnants of different events in the past that have been left in people’s lives today. The consequence of Colin’s protest has generated another uncomfortable situation in the same environment. The female football player Megan Rapinoe did not stand when the national anthem started to sound. In this case, she was calling people to take conscious after seeing how Colin has been attacked by social media. However, her first motive why she did not stand was because she was defending the lesbian community, emphasizing that this is another racial division problem. (2016) Megan joined the protest feeling oppressed as a lesbian in her country, in consequence, she showed a not proudly behavior either. Something that seems to be a little expression of disrespect, may provoke a massive impact. People are moved by their routine, by what they are used to see, say, and hear in their everyday.
