Colin Kaepernick's Argumentative Analysis

Colin Kaepernick's protest was not unconstitutional, he had the right to take a knee during the anthem and yet it seemed that he had committed an unspeakable crime. Accepting that he would probably be pushed head-first into controversy and all over television, he used it to his advantage. In a way, he shone more light on police brutality and racial injustice though it came at a great cost. Surprisingly enough, while a majority of NFL players are black, 83 percent of the fanbase are white, and 64 percent are male. These fans deal out astounding amounts of cash to watch African-American players while their bodies are tackled, battered, running and keeping their helmets on. Apparently, fans want their mouth shut too. Once they speak up only hate spews out of their mouths whether they admit it or not. This action does not support justice towards our system that kills and silences those that are people of color. Even though this likely was an action from her aching heart from seeing so much injustice, she was criticized to the point where she felt she had to make a public apology. Keep this in mind while Ryan Crouser and Joe Kovacs had their hands at their sides and nobody questioned them. With these facts, even if no one wants to admit it, your race plays a role before anything else it seems. Is it not easier to just be ignorant and believe that we are all one nation under God indivisible, with liberty and justice for all?
