It was reported that Colin Kaepernick, a 49ers quarterback in San Francisco had remained seated while his other teammates and fans stood for “The Star Spangled Banner” : With their hands over their hearts, but he did not. Many fans nationwide are debating whether it was okay or uncivilized for him to stay sitting. Although, Kaepernick has indicated that he didn't intend to cause a stir by sitting during the song, because he had sat previously in a game without anyone noticing.
