The Story of “The Other Wife” is a short story in which Colette, the author, presents a view of his ex wife. Marc Seguy, Colette’s main character, has a second wife who has a hasty encounter with his ex wife while all three of them are all in the same restaurant together. The story’s point of view is in 3rd person omniscient. How France impact gender roles, his character of being a husband have played a major part in an industrial society.
