The Cold War

Many may ask what is the Cold War or when it happened? Well this famous Cold War happened because of a conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union. It is know to have lasted for forty-six years. It all started in 1945 and stopped in 1991 when the Soviet Union broke off. None of these nations confronted each other when it was time for the battlefield. The Cold War dominated global affairs and the United States foreign policy. During the war Britain was supporting both nations financially and resisting the communists influence in the region. The war was the cost of Britain's economy to become badly hurt, that the wealthy could no longer afford to give them and the the United States had to take over their responsibility.
