People eat foods and drink water. They consume what foods they like, foods that are healthy and unhealthy, and foods that are delicious. Foods can be either solid or liquid like burger and soup, respectively. Foods are important because it gives the people energy and gives us nutrients. Keeping foods hot is one reason why foods are healthy. To store them in a container is the key. Food should be stored in containers to make it last longer. Foods easily spoil. Containers can be placed in the hot or cold environment. According to Josh Patrick, 2013, improper food storage is one of the causes why food spoils easily and it must be stored in containers that protect it from exposure to air and other factors of spoilage. Foods are delicious when consumed in their recommended temperature. Cold foods give a body a cooling effect and there are different kinds of cold foods: melon, watermelon, and yogurt (Cloqston-Willmott, 2011). Hot foods give enjoyment and great taste to food and there are different kinds of hot foods: soups, coffee, and smoked food (Cloqston-Willmott, 2011). One type of food that can be served hot or cold is soup. Examples of cold soups are minty pea soup and strawberry and tomato gazpacho (Shanker, 2014). Examples of hot soups are sinigang soup of the Philippines, wanton soup of China, and olla podrida of Spain (Bernardino, 2015). These kinds of soup are delicious and should be kept in a container that can maintain the heat and coldness of soups. Foods are being affected by heat.
