I am young and still in school and my education to me is far more important than any boyfriend or girlfriend because I think of school as a priority that will always be number one. So in my case, it’s simply so I can carpool.
Is cohabitation worse or better than anything else? That’s pretty much what the controversy is. Some people feel it is worse than marriage because of the lack of commitment and benefits while others feel that cohabitation is better than marriage because it allows one to get to know someone else before getting married. In this case, I do not personally favor one over another because it is two different situations. For example, if a couple is simply living their life while dating I feel it is okay to cohabit. It is when the love develops and the starting of a family that is a sign of wanting to get married.
Of course cohabitation is an alternative to marriage in some cases but I don’t necessarily think it is better. Not that I don’t care but to me each is desirable in certain
