While Cognitive therapy is a very successful treatment there are also other options in treating insomnia. Through the article “Patients and Clinicians”, it illustrates an experiment through the help of health professionals. By asking health professions the course of action on how to manage insomnia, new information was gained. By interviewing twenty eight patients and twenty-three health professionals, their first course of action was not how to cure insomnia itself but in fact, focused more into how to treat the cause of insomnia. General practitioners (GPs), pharmacists and community mental health teams were the twenty three health professionals asked. They were interviewed and asked questions on how to treat insomnia. Every sleepless night comes back to haunt in the morning. It follows the person to work, personal life, and health. It can be a very disheartening cycle to have to live with. The majority of people do not understand what it is or do not know how it affects them and their daily life. It causes diseases such as depression, obesity, anxiety, etc. It also drifts people away into their own lonely world where they think there is no way out. It Attacks the majority of the population especially older aged people and women. And there are many reasons why insomnia attacks someone, whether it be because of their job schedule, the way they eat or drink before going to bed, or even their hygiene. But while there is a handful of conflicts to overcome when having insomnia there are also treatments in helping to get a goodnights rest again. By Spreading the word around it can help an individual and can even save their life especially if it is a loved one who is dealing with insomnia. Once again, Insomnia can be a very hard sleep disorder to have. But by knowing what insomnia is, who gets it, the effects of insomnia on people, why they get it, and concluding it by explaining the treatments towards insomnia.
