We found that disrupting a person’s vision could affect the subject’s hand-eye coordination. It would have negative effects towards hand-eye coordination. Drunk googles were used for this experiment and we it affected the subject’s vision as it limits their ability to see properly. A bean-bag was asked to throw to the specific area by the subject with and without wearing drunk googles. The subject had better hand-eye coordination without wearing the drunk googles. We established two groups such as the experimental group where the tests are conducted on the subject and control group where they don’t get any treatment but help out the experiment. Three different variables were used …show more content…
Hand-eye coordination is a very important skill as we use it in day- to day activities such as playing out door games, driving, etc. In, this experiment our main objective was to figure out what would happen if we alter one of the value. Since both are dependent on each other we alter the vision of the subject and see how accurate the subject’s throws are based on their normal and impaired vision. We know that impairing a person’s vison would affect the accuracy but not accurately though. This experiment was conducted prove it using the scientific method. But, we were also able to answer certain questions like does the force of the throw impact the accuracy. Does the technique of throwing affect the distance from the target and bean bag. And, if the height and physical structure of the subject affect the subjects throwing technique. We found that the force affects the throw because without the drunk googles, the subject threw pretty accurately but with drunk googles, the subject kept threw with the same force where we get close values. The physical structure did affect the subject as he was asked to throw it a little distance, it would be different for different subjects. Irrespective of all of those questions, our main objective was altering the independent variables where we found out that Drunk google would affect the persons hand eye coordination because it would …show more content…
We used tape to mark the certain target, where the subject was asked to throw the beanbag. At first, we found the readings of the subject without impaired vision. Then, drunk googles was asked to be worn so that we could find the impaired vison of the subject and took the readings. And finally, we used a meter stick where we took the readings in centimeters. We wrote down all our readings in Excel and found the confidence intervals.
From the observations, we find that the data is more accurate for normal vision than impaired vision because for the standard deviation for normal vision is far lesser than impaired vision. This means that the value for impaired vision are more dispersed and has more errors. There are certain errors on this experiment too. This is because, both the normal and impaired error bars overlap which makes it not valid cause the means of both normal and impaired could be same, greater or lesser than each other.
