Figure 1: Analytic Hierarchy Process results
Analysis of results
The results of the AHP are favorable because it has selected the same project that was preferred in the selection criteria. The result itself is agreeable because according to it the bike for hire project is the project with the best financial feasibility as well as technical feasibility. This means that this project is meant to be the most cost effective, as motivated in the selection criteria. The Operational and market feasibility was second highest in both cases which makes sense seeing that there is a greater market for coffee centers but the financial feasibility is low for that project.
Conclusion
The final project chosen is Transport.
How it works
This project consist out of a bicycle hire system where you can collect a certain bike from specific bicycle racks across the campus. These rack will automatically lock and unlock the bike a student has hired after swiping his or her student card over the card machine, connecting your card to the number of the bike. Once the bike is unlocked you will be able to ride wherever you like as long you stay in the boundaries of the campus. When the student arrives at his or hers destination they will have to park the bikes at the same types of racks that he or she hired the bikes from. Every time you “take out” a bike the time spent on it will be recorded and will be listed in your study
