For instance, movies like Tusk, Zombieland and Vampire Academy are few examples. Natural horror is the other sub-genre of the horror notion. The horror in this largely generated by the depiction of natural living things like Plants, Animals and insects which are otherwise harmless or harmful to some degree with supernatural strength, power and rage to kill turning them into ruthless killers. Films like Jaws, Piranha, Lake Placid and Anaconda are few examples of this sub-genre. Psychological Horror is by far the most fear instilling and intimidating sub-genre of all the horror films chiefly due to the usage of unnerving sound effects, the actors’ emotional instability, fear and guilt. This sub-genre has the most daunting horror films ever made predominantly because of less or no usage of supernatural or paranormal activities and plays mainly on the audiences fear, especially the fear of the dark. Films such as The Ring, The Silent hill and Shining fall under this category. When it comes to the literature bit of it, the stories often have in detail description of the trauma and mental instability the character is going through in the books. Most of these films are based upon a Psychopathic or a Serial killer stalking and killing their victims. These films are often “18+” rated for their intense use of gore, blood and violence. As a rule, in most slasher films the antagonist who is a psychopathic killer often wields a weapon such as an axe or a chainsaw with which he or she mutilates the victims and often enjoy the pleasure of being dominant over an often helpless victim. The story, “Where are you going, Where have you been?” is a leading example of slasher type of horror in literature as per me. The manner in which Arnold Friend stalks and preys upon the helpless 15-year-old Connie. Arnold enjoys stalking Connie and being dominant. The way he threatens her to leave with him, suggests that the story might not have ended
