The ones that do not confess Jesus is Lord I believe because my mother has always been a poor example of how a Christian should live. So, there are strong beliefs that Christians are hypocritical in my family. For years I felt that way until I was much older and realize my step-father is a great example of the love of God. I also learn how to have my own relationship with God and understand that my mother has a lot of unresolved issues and that she was passed from one unhealthy foster home to another. So, instead of me looking at her as a mean mother, as an adult I see her as a traumatize women with deep hurt and unforgiveness that now has turned into a strong bitter root in her life.
