This part of the code is the argument of the people who disagree with this law because this part of the law make only some part of the society has the right and protection under the law, the slaves on the other hand have no right at all. Admittedly this part of the law did enhance the differences between different social classes, in that time there are three classes in Babylon, the amelu, the muskinu and the ardu. The amelu is the upper class; the muskinu is sort of middle and working class, the amelu is the slaves class, the code totally determined their position into nothing but the property of their masters. Based on the analysis the law has both positive and negative side, for one hand it made the society has the basic rule for everyone to follow for the first time in human history, on the other hand the law is not very fair and thoughtful and the purpose of this code is mainly for enhance the ruling position of King and upper class, the poor people and slave was didn't benefited or protected. Despite the shortage and unfairness of this rule it is not doubtful that this code made the biggest contribution to the development of human society and the formation of modern day legal system, if without this code today we won’t live under such a thoughtful and power legal protection.
