All three health care organizations’ codes of ethics have areas that are very similar to each other, as well as areas that are of total opposite. According to Longest & Darr (2008), the American Health Care Association Code of Ethics (AHCA) focused mostly on long-term facilities such as, nursing homes or the community (178). The America Health Care Association Code of ethics ensure that members are equip to provide moral responsibility, provide quality services to all patients, and able to show mutual respect among members. In addition, the American Health Care Association (AHCA) is deem as a model for other healthcare organizations (Longest & Darr 2008, p. 178). On the other hand, the American Nurses Association (ANA) is consider as The “Code for Nurses” (Longest & Darr 2008, p. 178). The American Nurses Association Code of Ethics (ANA) compel nurses to hold a high level of ethical standards (Thompson, Morton, Wornhoff, & Spoonmore 2013). This code of ethics ensure that nurses are fully equipped to deliver excellent care to all patients (Thompson et al 2013).
