The code I have selected to review is the; Code of Conduct.
The main purpose of the Code of Conduct has been established to outline values and principles that are expected to be portrayed by health professionals. The behaviour demonstrated by nurses needs to be withheld to a high standard as the public confines their personal information and trust with the health professional this is relevant to the purpose of Code of Conduct as consumer’s privacy and confidentiality is an ethical duty that must be protected. The code of conduct is strongly aimed at consumers, so they have an understanding of their rights which are clearly outlined to them under the eight principles (Nursing Council of New Zealand, 2012).
