Before Gabrielle Chanel had become the Coco Chanel, she went through difficulties in her life. As a young girl, she and her sister were abandoned by her father after her mother passed away, leaving her an orphan in 1893 (Lifetime TV, 2015). She learned how to sew in Aubazine orphanage to become a seamstress but she was more interested in becoming a famous singer, starting off in clubs called Moulins in 1908 (Coco Before Chanel, 2009). She was known as the girl singing the ‘Coco’ song which gave her the name Coco afterwards. Despite the difficulties and hard time she had when she was young, she had become one of the iconic fashion designers that had changed the world.
Gabrielle Chanel had started her relationship with Etienne Balsan giving her connections towards singing career but had failed.
