There are also many support groups that are found throughout Victoria which can be a good place for a recovering addict to visit if they ever need that extra help with their recovery process. This organisation also provides vast amounts of information on their website that can be accessed by anyone in Victoria, which may help the person get a better grasp on their pathway to recovery. They also provide something called FDH or Family Drug Help which caters for the families and friends of those who may have an addiction problem. This gives information, facts and resources to these people to help them cope with their loved one’s problem. This organisation also has an annual Overdose Awareness Day on the 29th of August which invites those who have lost any loved ones to an overdose of drugs or alcohol for a get-together.
