Cocaine is a drug which found on the leaves of plants. As well as it is a strong central nervous system drug which causes changes in behaviour by altering the power of connection between neurons. It causes desirable and undesirable behaviour on users (health, 2013). Desirable behaviour which include, rush, elevation of mood, self-confidence, increased energy, alertness, sexual excitement and decreased need for food. Undesirable behaviour on users which include crash, paranoia, imitability, assaultive behaviour, craving and excited. (Marina, 2012). Parental use of cocaine during pregnancy is an important public health problem. Cocaine exposed children involved in a huge amount of negative environmental influences which is recognized to be associated worse child development effects as well as likely to differentially disturb issue employment and release. However, these confusing variables which are include low prenatal care, low parental education, greater parental psychological pain, less interesting home environment, larger family, higher risk for out-of-home location, and parental use of drugs in addition to cocaine. (JAMA. 2002). Despite that, cocaine users have significantly more preterm children with high amount of serious deaths. Children with parental cocaine users have a major effect which include that the child could have a smaller perimeter of chest and head, illnesses, injuries and have to be hospitalized. (JAMA. 2002). Furthermore, parental exposed to cocaine increases the danger for regularly problems and issues from birth to childhood. Using cocaine while pregnancy can have effects for baby.
