Of course having her IQ decreased as a consequence of a car accident did not make Amy Cuddy’s life any easier. Sometimes, if not always, life does not work the way we want; the answer a person with a very high IQ might have then is just not the right one to solve the problem and to make things work again as planned. Debora Case Summary

Debora, We were hoping to add any sort of income control that mirrors what we already do for expenses. With our expenses, if a Property Manager were to enter in a PO that is 5% above its budgeted amount, that PO would be flagged and not process in the system until our Regional Property Manager either approves or denies it. For income then, we were looking to create a similar system such that a Property Manager is limited in the amount of rent they can enter during the leasing procedure without approval. The hope was to make the trigger threshold for income tied to some yet to be defined target (e.g if the PM were to enter a rent that is 10% less than market rent, they would need to get it approved before they can continue with the lease application).…

It is in Bly’s self-interest to maximize the amount of revenues less warranty expenses so as to maximize his personal bonus. Since Bly has some input into setting the warranty expense accrual percent, he potentially faces an ethical dilemma. Specifically, the lower the expense accrual, the lower the warranty expense, and the higher his bonus. (The evidence indicates that Bly has tended to overestimate warranty expense in prior years.) 2.…

Most people would agree that laws are something that were created to help people. Most of the help is figuring out who is right, how to handle something, or rules to follow (Behl, 2016). Hardly anyone would argue that this is a bad thing, until the law itself breaks the rules. Many laws can, in fact, contradict themselves. An example of this is the juvenile justice system and being able to wave the juvenile to adult court.…

Mr. Bower referenced his report on slides 104-108 stating that for the 4th quarter, Direct Individual Life Premium was relatively flat compared to the prior two years. Single premium was down but in line with projections that was set for the year. The renewal premium was up 3% and continues to see good growth.
