I agree and disagree with Coben’s claim. Parents should monitor their children for inappropriate things. Parents should not invade their privacy. Parents should also at some point tell their child that they are monitoring them. Like I said before, parents should monitor their children for inappropriate things. You never know what they could be doing. Coben said his friend found out that his daughter was using drugs and was also sleeping with the drug dealer. His friend came clean and told his daughter he was monitoring her computer. Even though you should monitor your child but you should not invade their privacy. You can look for inappropriate thing, but don’t try to see if they have a crush on the next door neighbor. Let them have fun
