Coast Capital Saving’s unique “for youth, by youth” approach for community programs is something that I strongly agree with and admire. As a youth who is interested in business and financial literacy, I am impressed by and greatly appreciate the bounds Coast Capital Saving’s has taken to enrich youth and build richer futures. Hearing stories from friends and teachers about how impactful the Youth Team program is, — enabling youth to garner skills in leadership and financial literacy, while giving back to the community — has immensely piqued my interest. I believe my sanguine outlook, assiduity, and exceptional teamwork skills will qualify me as beneficial addition to the Coast Capital Youth Team.
As a Green Ambassador and Richmond Olympic Experience Docent, I have developed an ample amount of long-lasting teamwork and interpersonal skills that are required of a Community Ambassador. Moreover, I have a moderate amount of knowledge about financial literacy as a current member of the Young Investors program at UBC, which may be beneficial when focusing on Coast Capital Saving’s “for youth, by youth” approach. Finally, my experiences as a Peer Tutor at JN Burnett Secondary and Math and Literacy Event Volunteer at the Richmond Public Library, have augmented my abilities in teaching and working with youth. …show more content…
Not only do I possess the capability to work well with a team, but also embody Coast Capital Saving’s “for youth, by youth” approach through my positive attitude that I have developed through volunteering and giving back to the community. In addition, the various academic and service awards that I have received all throughout high school can attest to my diligence: Work Habits and Academic Honour Roll, as well as Level 2 and 3 Service
