Many people think of character in different ways. I think that if anyone has character, its Coach Pennington. Coach Pennington is one of the best coaches we have at olney high school.
Our coach has passion, dedication, heart, and he is helpful. Coach P has many good qualities like hes is funny, honest, and humble. This is what Coach P a good character. He has compassion, trust, short tempered, but that is what makes him a good coach. Coach P focuses on students, not on courage, perseverance, and respect.. Coach Pennington is a fantastic coach and that is what makes him a good character. Respect is a fantastic way to show character. The Golden Rule says “treat others how you want to be treated”. Respect is about respecting others like elders, siblings, parents, and friends. I treat them with respect because it's the right thing to do. My father shows respect to his boss even though he doesn't like him. Showing respect is a form of showing character. To show respect you should listen to others. Another way to show respect is to be open minded. Also you should be considerate of others feeling and differences. You should show respect for laws, rules, and authority. Showing respect is to treat others with courtesy and consideration. This is why showing respect is being a fantastic character. Are you responsible?

Being responsible is doing what is expected of you. Being responsible is considering consequences, and learn to say no. Another way to show responsibility is to be accountable for the choices you make. You should be careful for the language you use in public.You should also do your best in situations. Brian Tracy once said “ The happiest people in the world are those who feel absolutely terrific about themselves, and this is the natural overgrowth of accepting total responsibility for every part of their life”. And Abraham Lincoln once said “ you can't escape responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today”. Responsibility is a Fantastic way to show character and respect. Compassion is a deluxe way to show character. A Great way show compassion, is to show empathy. Being concerned for the welfare of one’s self and others is showing compassion. It also showing feeling for another person’s sorrow or hardship. We need to be considerate, courteous, and forgive others for their mistakes. The Dalai Lama once said, “ if you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion”. I have shown compassion In conclusion, showing compassion is a great way to have character. Perseverance is another great way to show character. To have perseverance, you have to have patience. You would have to stick to it and keep trying. Perseverance requires doing the best you can do in any situation. Julie Andrews once said “Perseverance is failing a nineteen times and succeeding the twentieth”. I think she means, always try even though it looks impossible. Perseverance also allows you to think of creative ways to do things. Have strong determination to accomplish you goals. Perseverance is you working hard, overcoming obstacles, accomplishing something, and make a contribution. Perseverance is a great way to show character, and being a fantastic person. Trust is another great way to show excellent character. First to show trust you have to, do what you say you will do. Another way is to be loyal to family and friends.
