QUITTING

It is a hot summer evening. Cars are flying by. The trees are swaying back and forward an side to side. I hear everybody blabbering about baseball. Then I see him 10 yards away. I come to a stop and quickly take a breath. A deep chill ran down my spine
6 months earlier. A few days after joining the team I was happy. I made the team and things were looking up- “Ethan get your stuff together”. My Mom yelled across the room. I was startled. "for what” I yelled back “baseball”. I gulped and took a deep breath.
During the bumpy ride I was nervous. I was shaking like crazy. I slowly walked in with my head down. I saw coach, he leaned in, “I didn't think you were going to come”. Inside I was crying for him to go away. Coach
