CM3100-Week Two-Acts of Service
Simple acts of service or acts of accommodation can be seen everywhere there are people. In our homes, on our jobs, in the marketplace, and especially in our churches. Simple acts of courage could be something as simple as praying for others. Prayer for the Christian should be to him/her as natural as breathing.
My wife and I take our church roster and lift up the names of our members in prayer. In church, the sharing of our testimonies with each other serves to be encouragement for us which in turn helps us to grow spiritually. When I hear the testimonies of the saints, I see how good God is to His people and how He is not a respecter of persons.
My spirit man is bolstered by them, and I am more determined to live for Jesus by serving others and being more committed to performing simple acts of service. What amazes me most is when I hear a testimony of someone we have prayed for, and they testify of how God answered those prayers.

I pray for less of me and more of “he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1Joh 4:4 KJV). It is my desire that Jesus would be seen and heard as I teach and preach.
God has answered my prayer to get more people involved in the teaching ministry. So far, my wife stepped up and teaches the women in Sunday school. I encourage others to step out in faith and step up to the challenge. I understand the fear we face when it comes to the awesome task of teaching God’s
