I pounded the brick wall over and over again, every night until I saw a change. My skills need improvement and I was the only one who could make the changes. I realized that my soccer skills needed improvement and that brick wall became the foundation for improvement. I have played soccer for 14 years now after play Recreational soccer for 11 I played soccer for my High school for another 2 years. The first time I played Club Soccer I was 17. I learned very quickly that in Club Soccer everyone was just as talented is I was, and more so than I. my failures as a soccer player Pushed me to enhance my skills.
When I began playing club I realized the extreme differences between Club and Recreational soccer. Recreational soccer had an average of three to four good players on each team. Recreational soccer was meant to be fun but also competitive. Each team also had

After practice I would come home eat dinner, do an hour of home work and put my cleats back on. I would start by doing some normal dribbling in place to help me ball handling and ball handling speed. Then I would go to the brick wall on the far side of my house. I would pass the ball with the instep of my foot then my other foot and repeat. I would practice like this for an hour. The changes came slightly I spent less time during practice trying to make up for my mistakes and more of my time was spent trying to compete with the best forwards and midfielders my team had to offer.
As spring approached my skills had increased and continued to increase as my work ethnic improved. The season of club soccer came to an end and high school soccer started again. I tried out for the Junior Varsity Team like the year before. Unlike the year before the head coach of the varsity team had me come to the varsity practices. Because of my failures, I pushed myself to strive for better and I made myself a better player and created a better work

Like many young people, athletes can be invited to join a party. The difference that can affect the path to achieve their goal is the answer. Some players go to parties whereas other players will stay at home to sleep. During these parties, there is another risk for everyone and particularly for the high-level player, it is alcohol. Alcohol can have a negative effect on the sportive performance. Based off eleven years of experience, I have found that there is always something to learn and get better at whether it 's improving a shot or whether its getting a better understanding of the game or whether its teaching how to do a new trick. I have and still do play other sports besides soccer, but I have always been drawn back to soccer because of the challenge it offers me. There is never an easy game. A team might play a team that is not good, but players still have to work hard if they want to win. Whether you enjoy watching soccer or whether you don’t, you should still give playing a…

In 2008 many changes and exciting events were occurring to the United States, Barack Obama was elected president, the market crashed which caused the recession, and the US women’s soccer team won the 2008 summer Olympics. Although, many changes were occurring in 2008, it was the start of something that has remained in my life, my, love for soccer. I started playing traveling soccer because my church league soccer coach told me I needed to be playing at a higher level and I wanted to be better and play soccer in college. I will never forget my first year playing on a competitive soccer team. Although, I dreaded it at most times the challenges it gave me taught me that hard work and dedication pay off. From this first year of soccer I grew as a person and an athlete which lead me to love the sport and continuing playing at a high level of soccer till this day. In 2008 I played on my first team, Concorde Fire Black. We traveled many places including Disney World where we placed second in the National Disney Showcase. Our team name is now named United Football Association Gold, but I still play with the girls I started playing soccer with. We still continue to travel and win many tournaments, last year we won our division. Playing and loving soccer is something that hasn’t changed in my life and I hope it never will.…

When George was in third grade, he had a teacher, Ms. Johnson who inspired him. She told him that he could go to college and be successful, as long as he stayed off the streets and out of trouble. She took her students to plays and required them to dress nicely. She was probably George’s most influential and inspiring teacher throughout his early years. Like George, I had a role model in my soccer career that believed in me also. His name was Mr. Shenck, and he was my soccer coach from age 7 on. Throughout all my troubling times with my asthma, my ankle, my vocal chord dysfunction, he was always there pushing me to be the best that I could be, under the circumstances I was faced with. He never doubted me, and always gave me as much playing time as I could handle on the field. When I doubted my ability to contribute to my team, Mr. Shenck would put me on the playing field for short spurts. Sometimes I would be in for only ten minutes. When I was out there though, I felt great, and even helped contribute a goal or two. He has been my coach almost as many years as I have been playing soccer. He will always be a favorite soccer memory of mine, because even when I doubted myself, I still had him pushing me, and believing in…

You need to practice first to make sure you understand the game and that you can actually make it through. During these practices you run drills and go around obstacles. You cannot just walk through them. They also do something called conditioning. That is when you are supposed to run a certain distance and slowly increase it each time you run. With dodging obstacles and conditioning, it prepares the person to be able to do such things in a game.…

The amount of training and time club volleyball players put into the sport is probably next to insane. In high school volleyball, most coaches do not know all the fundamentals, which can cheat most players out of bettering their skills. While in club volleyball, players can spend anywhere from two to four hours practicing the fundamentals of volleyball such as serving, passing, and hitting. This is also topped with many workouts outside of the gym, such as running and a bit of weight training. While, high school volleyball requires none of that but some players have self-discipline to put in the extra effort to aid them in their…

Football have some similarity with soccer but are extremely different. Football players have different position. Backs may have the toughest job on the football field because they have to not only know every play like a quarterback, but also make physical contact on virtually every down. Another position is receiver, whose role is an offensive position in American football, and is the key player in most of the passing plays. Another position which is similar to soccer is defense. The objective of the defensive team is to prevent the other team from scoring. Football players have many skills. In football, the offense is the side which is in possession of the ball. It is their job to advance the ball towards the opponent's end zone to score points. Another very difficult skill is to catch ball. While running and your teammate pass the ball and you have to catch before the other team gets it from you. Another skill that football have is Rushing Downfield. Skills needed for rushing include an ability to anticipate the moves of opposing team members and the skill to make quick, lateral adjustments to avoid opposing players. American football has 3-6 referee and they have the same role as soccer to take fouls and control the game. Football players are been led by their coach. In American football they have unlimited substitution, it means they can change players as much as they…

Bella, the ten year old I coached, told me she incorporated the many skills I had taught her into her own games and practices. Hearing this assured me that I have become and influence in her soccer life, and my goals going into these sessions were fulfilled. I only wanted to inspire those I trained to develop their self on their own. By her telling me this, I knew that I had “lit a fire” in her to become better and better. I aspire to continue doing this so I can keep spreading the love I have for…

Some of the greatest role models think that soccer is exhilarating. For example, Carli Lloyd a professional soccer player on the US Women’s National Team. She helped take her team to the world cup and brought home gold, and she thinks that soccer should be played by everyone. Another encouraging role model is Alex Morgan, who is also on the USWNT. One of the most fun moments in her soccer career is whenever she will take a shot on goal and it flies past the goalie into the goal. The next reason that soccer is marvelous is because a team in soccer must pass the ball or work together to score a goal. Which means, if you get on a team that is fit for you it will make it fun to collaborate with your tea. Finally, the most important reason to play soccer is to stay fit and make sure to have…

It was my senior year of high school, and our soccer season was just a few weeks from beginning. With only eleven starting spots available and thirty of us on the team, having a starting job on opening night was heavily competed for. By having a great season prior to this one, many teammates were gunning for my position in particular. Given, this sometimes created a hostile practice environment for me. Hostility at practice was nothing I was not used to; however, one practice got a little too out-of-hand between a teammate and myself because of this. For this reflective paper, I will chart this particular conflict and examine the stages in which it progressed through. Let’s take a look.…

In both of these organizations, the players need to be able to pass to each other as well as set each other up and ultimately score a point, and keep the other team from scoring. However we cannot forget the individual aspect of the games. In basketball after getting fouled the player needs to stand at the free-throw line and shoot to score alone. Soccer has a trait that is very much alike; in soccer if the player gets fouled in the box the player get a penalty, which is where you put the ball down on the penalty spot, and the player has the opportunity to shoot at the goal alone. The biggest similarity is the speed of play, both sports have very little stops to the game, so both sports get a real flow and do not stop every ten seconds.…
