79% of middle school and high school students do clubs in school and 57% do clubs outside of school. Let me tell you, these students do better in school, have more friends, and have skills that will help them in the future. Clubs are a fun way to forget about school and just do what you love. Studies show that students who do clubs have an easier time interacting with other people. Besides that, clubs also help make new friends, relieve stress, and develop new skills. All students in middle school and high school should be a part in a club or sport.

Ashley Miller says that even though clubs are more things to do on top of school work the activities you are usually involved in are things you enjoy doing, so it just makes school more fun. For example if you are really passionate for something it should not be a punishment, it should be something you look forward to doing everyday. Even though joining a club is a good thing, a lot of students think otherwise.
Some people might not join clubs because they have things going on at home, are focused on their school work, or are shy and scared of making new friends. I don’t think that those kids realize that not all clubs are huge commitments so if you have things going on at home its ok if you skip a few meetings. Also, if students are worried that they won't get their homework done then they can join a club where they work on homework. I know in the Wood Dale Junior High they do have a homework club and that is a great way of making new friends. So what do you say, are you gonna join a club?
Over all, students should be involved in a club. Clubs help students make new friends, relieve stress, and also you can develop a bunch of new skills.

There are a lot of places you can go sign up for a club. Ask your teachers what clubs are available at your school or go to your park district and see what type of activities you can sign up for. You never know, maybe your new best friend might just be hiding in one of those
