Clover: A Short Story

Clover covered her ears after eavesdropping on a bunch of people criticizing her fashion choices. She understands that her fashion choice isn't the trendiest around but she felt comfortable wearing the warm sweater, and sweatpants. Compared to the popular students that wore clothes that barely covered their skin, Clover was considered an outcast who has the poorest taste in everything she did.
"I swear I'm going to change." Clover whispered. "I'm going to be the popular girl in High School."
Present Day:
It's been 2 years since Clover changed her image completely. She went from a dull nerd with an obsession with video games to the most popular teenager in California High School. Unlike her Middle School days, Clover was considered fashionable with the short crop tops and shorts she wore instead of the oversized sweater, and sweatpants she had worn previously that attracted negative attention.

Turning around, Clover found herself being hugged tightly by her best friend. It was thanks to Mandy that Clover became popular, instantly bonding the two teenagers who both desires popularity.
"Yes, Mandy?" Clover managed out, finding it harder to breathe as her friend tightened the tug.
"Camila told me to inform you to go to you know where after school." Mandy said as she broke apart from the hug. Mandy simply winked at Clover who tensed up after being reminded about the secret spot most popular teenagers are going to.
Nodding, Clover waved goodbye as her friend made her way back to Chemistry class. Her body continued to tremble, remembering the consumption of drugs she had taken back at the hidden spot. She knew that taking drugs were bad after learning all about it in Middle School, but she feared that stopping all the illegal activities would bump her down from popular to nerd
