These spots on their coat helps camouflage them in the dappled light of its habitat. The clouded leopard usually stands 10-16 inches tall and are 4 to 6 feet long almost half of which is the cat’s tail. The males tend to be bigger and weigh up to 50 pounds, and the females weigh in at 35 pounds. The clouded leopards muzzle is white and solid black,on their forehead and cheeks they have spots that cover them. Their sides and limbs are marked with big black ovals. On their backs two thick black bars run from behind their ears to the back of their neck and down to the shoulder blades, their tail is bushy and ringed with black. They have long tails that they use for balancing, which can be as long as them. The clouded leopard also has the longest canine teeth on any living feline. Their diet consists of birds, primates, small mammals, porcupines, deer, and wild boar. On average they will catch 10 to 12 mammals a day if prey is scarce they may save food in a tree for later. Their prey is mostly found in trees which makes it easier because they have a natural talent for climbing. In the wild the clouded leopard catches its prey wild but if one was to be in captivity they are known to only like to catch their own.
