In the cloud point experiment, waxes will appear and thickens the oil and clogs fuel filter and injectors in engines. The wax also accumulates on the cold surfaces and forms an emulsion with water. The appearances of cloud point determine the first cloud of wax crystals in a liquid when it is cooled.

Our objective in this experiment is to determine the cloud point and pour point for crude oil and biodiesel. Based on our result and by referring to our sources that we have, we can conclude that: * Cloud point for crude oil is around 20 to 18 degree Celsius and its pour point is about 12 to 9 degree Celsius and then it will achieve its freezing point. * Whereas cloud point for biodiesel is around 19 degree Celsius and its pour point is about 16 to 15 degree Celsius and then it also will achieve its freezing point.
The cloud point and pour point of the crude oil is achieved slower than biodiesel because of the difference in the arrangement of atom and there are presences of other atom in biodiesel that make it even faster to freeze. By comparing the temperature, crude oil needs to be in lower temperature than biodiesel which is, crude oil freezes around 11 to 8 degree Celsius, whereas
