With Command Center we are unable to download all of the substations without continually starting them over again, along with not being able to run all reports that would help solve metering issues in the field. The Ersi, and Infoweb programs have an issue with server space as well, but this is mostly during storm issues were more than the normal amount of people are trying to access the same information at the same time and this bring the system crashing down because the servers are not able to handle all of the load. The impact of these programs not having the server space we need is resulting to employee overtime and delaying our efforts in storm situations to restore power to our consumers in a timely manner.

High Level Solution
To eliminate this problem with server storage I propose that Buckeye Power consider a cloud base storage system for all servers. Switching to a cloud system could greatly reduce the cost of server maintenance, licensing fees, reduce the amount of down time employee’s experience, allow us to restructure the duties of the IT department, and allow us the flexibility to upgrade processing power at peak times and then reduced the processing power when the peak is over. Only paying for the amount of processing power we need instead of buying new equipment to fill a need that is short lived.
Benefits of Solving the Problem There are many benefits that are possible from switching over to a cloud
